Mark is the latest in a number of recent additions to boost KordaMentha Forensic capabilities across Australia and the Asia Pacific, and cement our position as the pre-eminent forensic accounting practice in the region.

Mark has 35 years’ experience in public accounting. For seven years in the 1990s, he was the worldwide audit partner for The News Corporation. Since the 1980s he has also specialised in the accounting, quantification and valuation aspects of commercial disputes. Until 2002 he was the partner in charge of Andersen’s Dispute practice in Asia/Pacific.

He was a member of the board of partners of Ernst & Young from 2002 to 2006 when he became a consultant to that firm.

Mark has given evidence as an expert in many courts and other tribunals. Several leading cases have adopted his opinions. He often acts behind the scenes as an adviser, especially when alternative forms of dispute resolution are adopted.

Mark has been treasurer and a director of The Cerebral Palsy Alliance (formerly The Spastic Centre) since 1997, and is now also its deputy chairman. In 2009, he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his work with Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Mark Bryant said: “In a way this is my first job change since I left university. I had no doubt that KordaMentha was where I wanted to be, because of the quality of its people. I am delighted to be re-joining former colleagues and working with the KordaMentha Forensic team. I am looking forward to continuing to take on a wide range of client projects.”

Mark Korda said: “We are delighted to have Mark join us as he is clearly one of the most pre-eminent forensic accounting professionals in Australia. He brings with him a wealth of experience as we continue to satisfy our clients’ increasing need for high quality forensic professionals who do not have the conflicts that restrict the larger accounting firms.”

Owain Stone said: “Mark is a tremendous addition to KordaMentha Forensic. With twelve partners and executive directors and over forty other forensic professionals across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, we know we have the quality, experience and scale to handle the full range of forensic challenges that law firms, corporates and governments face.”
