Critical leaps in technology have enabled KordaMentha, a leading advisory firm, to grow and strengthen its position as a global leader in the complex world of eDiscovery.

KordaMentha Forensic has one of the largest teams of forensic investigators, forensic accountants and forensic technology specialists in Asia-Pacific.

Since becoming the first firm to introduce the powerful cloud-based RelativityOne platform to Australia 12 months ago, KordaMentha Forensic has grown its team of talented professionals by 30 per cent.

“We are leaders in the technology we deliver and we’re also leaders in terms of our vision for eDiscovery,” said Andrew Malarkey, Partner of KordaMentha. “Our forensics experts service a growing client base by leveraging the flexibility and security of RelativityOne to conduct the increasingly complicated challenges posed by large international data matters.”

With a vision to deliver value to our clients beyond discovery services, KordaMentha Forensic has invested time and resources in helping clients develop and improve their own internal approach to managing eDiscovery for their own clients. This investment of expertise and knowledge empowers clients, many of which are law firms, to build their own set of skills and competencies.

“We’re not just focusing on working on the next engagement with our clients - we’re looking five years ahead to not just where we want to be, but where our clients need to be.

“Because for us to add more value and be more innovative, we need our clients to have a similar mindset.”

The latest addition to KordaMentha Forensic is Jonathan Prideaux, who has more than 20 years of experience in legal technology. His previous role at Clayton Utz saw him lead the legal technology services team, where he worked with national and international clients in both the public and private sectors.

Jonathan specialises in managing the identification, collection, processing and review of large amounts of data and the efficient preparation of evidence for presentation in court. His most recent experiences include responding to the requests of the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry on behalf of one of the ‘big four’ banks, and working with a major financial services institution to manage a large number of concurrent regulatory responses and litigious matters.

At KordaMentha Forensic, Jonathan will deepen the firm’s diversity of experience and extend its technology capability with a specific focus on understanding the needs of legal and corporate clients.

“I’m excited to be joining the team at KordaMentha Forensic and look forward to providing innovative solutions to the many time-consuming and repetitive legal processes,” he said.

“At KordaMentha we have the technology to automate and improve a lot of those difficult tasks, which enables us to expand our offering beyond core eDiscovery to ancillary services.”
