Nick is a Director in the Real Estate Advisory group and has extensive experience in property valuation, consultancy and finance.

Since starting his career in 1992, Nick has provided valuation and consultancy advice to major institutions, fund managers, lenders and developers in Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom and Europe. Over this period he has gained exposure to a wide range of asset types, markets and transactions, developing specific skills in the management of multi-jurisdictional and other complex valuation and consultancy projects.

Nick spent several years with Deutsche Bank in London, managing real estate underwriting and due diligence for that Bank’s European property lending platform, including exposure to the subsequent securitisation and syndication of commercial mortgage backed loans.

Transferring to the Bank’s Hong Kong office, Nick was actively involved in the origination, structuring and transaction management of secured real estate loans and selected equity investments across the Asia-Pacific region. During this period, Nick gained significant experience with project finance and cross-border loan facilities.

Since joining KordaMentha, Nick has been responsible for several loan review and strategic advisory projects on behalf of secured lenders, in addition to ongoing involvement with a significant receivership in Perth.

Significant Engagements

  • Westgem Investments Pty Ltd – due diligence and transaction management relating to the receivership of the Raine Square commercial and retail development project.
  • Confidential – Financial analysis and strategic advisory on loans secured on hospitality assets held by a private investor/developer, including a construction tranche. Overall asset value of approximately $80 million.
  • Confidential – Financial analysis and strategic advisory on loans secured on a portfolio of commercial, retail and residential assets. Overall asset value of approximately $160 million.
