Cliff is a qualified chartered accountant and has over 23 years experience in corporate recovery and insolvency, personal insolvency, financial investigations and corporate restructuring. He has held senior positions including partner in leading ‘boutique’ corporate restructuring practices in Western Australia and has held a senior position in one of the big four banks in the risk area.
In practice Cliff has completed a number of both informal assignments (acting as lead accountant in pre-lending reviews, completing investigating accountant reviews and as an expert in determining insolvency) and formal assignments (acting as a receiver and manager, agent for mortgagee in possession, controller, voluntary administrator and as liquidator). Cliff’s clients included leading financial institutions, accountants, credit managers and lawyers.
Cliff has completed two 16 months stints in a major big four bank in the risk area working with clients displaying impaired characteristics. Cliff’s role was to assist in mitigating the bank’s exposure and or returning the client to the line with sound business strategies and protocols. Cliff has gained invaluable insight into the credit risk operations of a bank and the expectations and requirements of clients in these circumstances.
