Bill is one of North Queensland’s leading insolvency practitioners, having worked on many of the region’s most significant assignments. Bill has been a qualified Chartered Accountant for over 25 years. Having worked for a Big Four firm in Brisbane and Townsville, Bill is recognised as an insolvency and reconstruction specialist capable of dealing with complex assignments.
Many of Bill’s assignments have been in the capacity as Receiver and Manager for many of Australia’s leading banking and financial institutions as well as confidential consultancy roles and specific appointments for the State and Federal Governments. During his career, Bill has worked on some of Queensland’s major insolvency appointments including Storm Financial Limited, one of Australia’s largest corporate collapses and the Hedley Group, which were challenging and complex assignments. In addition, Bill has controlled the operations of many businesses including hotels, motels, restaurants, resorts, construction and property development companies, medical centres, football clubs, airline operations and mining companies.
In addition, Bill has extensive experience in agribusiness and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations. In 2005, Bill successfully completed a six-month appointment as administrator of the Palm Island Aboriginal Council on behalf of the Queensland Government.
